How to Download Pinterest Videos and Images in HD
Save Pinterest video pins and original high-resolution images instead of blurry previews. Works with pin.it links on any phone or computer, no login.
Quick answer: copy the pin's link, paste it into the Pinterest Downloader and tap Save. You get the original upload: the full-size image, or the video as an MP4.
Pinterest's own "Download image" button often saves a resized preview, and video pins can't be saved at all. Here's how to get the real files.
Step 1: Copy the pin link
- App: open the pin → tap Share (or ⋯) → Copy link. You'll usually get a short
pin.it/...link. That's fine. - Website: open the pin and copy the address bar (
pinterest.com/pin/123456789/).
Step 2: Paste and preview
Open the Pinterest Downloader and paste the link. SaveAnyReel follows short pin.it links automatically and shows a preview.
Step 3: Save the original
- Image pins: tap Save for the original-resolution JPG, often 2–4× larger than what you see in the app.
- Video pins: tap Save for an HD MP4 with sound.
Why the original matters
| Pinterest preview | Original (SaveAnyReel) | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical width | 736 px | 1500–4000 px |
| Good for printing | ❌ | ✅ |
| Good for mood boards / design | Blurry when zoomed | Sharp |
Tips
- Idea Pins (multi-page pins) count as video pins. Paste the link the same way.
- If a pin only shows a link to another website, the image belongs to that site; open the source page to get it.
- Save images for inspiration and personal mood boards. Using someone's photo or design commercially needs the creator's permission.
Troubleshooting
"Media not found": the pin was deleted or made secret. Check the link in a private browser window.
I got a small image: some pins were uploaded small. SaveAnyReel always fetches the largest version that exists.
