YouTube Shorts vs TikTok: which quality looks better?
A practical look at resolution, bitrate, and how to pick the right download quality for Shorts and TikTok clips.
youtubetiktokquality
Short-form video looks great on phones, but downloads can get soft if you pick the wrong quality.
What usually looks best
- YouTube Shorts: 1080p when available, then 720p.
- TikTok: Prefer the HD option when the resolver offers it.
When 720p is enough
If you are editing for Stories or WhatsApp, 720p is often plenty and downloads faster.
